SAN ANTONIO (CBSSPORTS.COM) – Yahoo! Sports reports that Tim Duncan and the Spurs have come to terms on what will likely be the final contract of his career.
It’s a three-year deal, and while the remaining terms have to be hammered out, the structure of the deal is in place.
In the playoffs, Duncan declared that he was a “Spur for life” and that there was no chance he’d sign anywhere else.
Duncan made it easy on the Spurs by giving the team a terrific year in per-minute production while the rest of the team enabled him to get adequate rest.
Duncan’s still able to be the rock of the Spurs and make plays. He was often the highest bright spot on the Spurs in the playoffs and took it to teams after losing significant weight.
