ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Arlington Police have found a missing 8-year-old girl who ran away after getting into a fight with a younger sibling.
Malaysia Goins, pictured above, was last seen outside her apartment in the 700 block of E. Sanford Street at 2:45 p.m. Monday, police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said. She was found hiding in some bushes. Richard said she was frightened but otherwise safe.
Malaysia’s mom called police 30 minutes later when she couldn’t find her. Richard said she was considered a runaway and that she was not in any immediate danger nor was she abducted.
Richard expressed concern about her age and the hot temperatures, as well as how long she was missing.
One witness said they saw her walk away from the apartment complex on N. Collins Street.
