DALLAS (AP) - A North Texas man has been sentenced to seven years in prison in a drugs and grenades investigation.
A federal judge in Dallas on Thursday afternoon sentenced 32-year-old Shane Wilson of Midlothian.
Wilson in May pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime and receipt or possession of an unregistered firearm.
Investigators say a March 2011 search of Wilson’s home turned up a live hand grenade, smoke grenades, two loaded firearms and information on their use.
Officers also discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and records of what appeared to be drug deals.
