IRVING (AP) – Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett is keeping his focus on the next game, the way he always does.
As for any questions about his future, or the possibility of being replaced by Sean Payton, Garrett said his focus Monday was on cleaning up mistakes from Sunday night’s loss at Atlanta and starting to prepare to play at Philadelphia.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he has “a lot of faith” in Garrett and dismissed reports he might be interested in bringing in Payton next season.
Garrett says there’s always an urgency in staying the course, whether the Cowboys (3-5) are coming off another close loss or things are going well.
Hired midway through the 2010 season, Garrett is 16-16 in Dallas.
