The Dallas-Fort Worth CBS RADIO and CBS Television Stations are partnering with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive on Wednesday, November 14, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Medical City Children’s Hospital tower, at 7777 Forest Lane, Dallas, 75230.
CBS 11, TXA 21 and CBS Radio stations NewsRadio 1080 KRLD | 105.3 THE FAN | 100.3 Jack FM | 98.7 KLUV | MEGA 107.5 | 103.7 Lite FM are combining efforts to encourage North Texans to donate blood to help maintain the blood supply as the holiday season approaches. This year’s supply could also be impacted as potential donors’ lives continue to be disrupted in the northeastern U.S. in the wake of the devastating storms there.
“Without the generosity of volunteer blood donors, we would not be able to ensure a stable blood supply for patients in need,” said Melissa Adger, Donor Recruitment Representative, Red Cross Southwest Blood Services Region. “A single blood donation can help save up to three lives and give patients another opportunity to celebrate holidays with their loved ones.”
Potential donors should be at least 17 years old (16-year-olds are eligible with signed Red Cross parental consent form), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Walk-in donors are welcome, but appointments are encouraged and can be made by emailing: Melissa.Adger@redcross.org
Medical City Children’s Hospital is located at 7777 Forest Lane, near Central Expressway (U.S. 75), in Dallas. Free parking vouchers will be provided.
