FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -  A car crossing into oncoming lanes of traffic along a busy Fort Worth boulevard sends a school bus into a nearby house.

The accident happened around 6:45 along Alta Mesa at Whitman Avenue.

Fort Worth ISD says one of their busses was trying avoid a car heading toward the bus in the wrong side of the road.  The car clipped the bus, sending the bus off the road and into the side of a home at the corner.

There were 9 students on the bus, all were students from Wedgwood Middle School.  The students were checked out at the scene before being loaded onto another bus.  None of the students or the driver of the bus were seriously injured.
