DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – It’s a busy movie season so I checked out two new ones this week, starting with “Hitchcock” starring Anthony Hopkins.

It is about Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville, portrayed by Helen Mirren, during the filming of ”Psycho.” There is already a great deal of Oscar chatter about Anthony Hopkins’ performance and Helen Mirren might get a nomination as well.

Killing Them Softly” stars Brad Pitt as a hit man with a sensitive side. it will be nice to see him in something other than those awful “Chanel No 5″ commercials.
If you’d like,  watch the trailers below or click here to find local show times  but first hear what KRLD Film Critic Julie Fisk has to say about “Hitchcock” and “Killing Them Softly.”
