The clouds that have been with us most of the day are beginning to thin out, but it’s a bit too late for any type of warm-up. Clear skies and a breezy northwest wind will make things quite chilly tonight & Saturday morning. Wind chills overnight will be in the teens!!! No precipitation is expected thankfully.
Lots of sun but cool on Saturday, look for increasing clouds on Sunday ahead of our next system which is over the Pacific coast.
Rain will start up Sunday night and last for most of the day Monday…look for widespread, soaking rain. It will be cold, but above freezing…so just rain this time. Overall this is good news for the intense drought-riddled Texas. Rain should taper off during the evening on Monday and we should find some dry hours for Monday night as we ring in the new year.
It will stay chilly for the first few days of 2013. It has been quite a switch from the earlier parts of December. The average temp is down over 20 degrees since Christmas Eve!
After our New Years Eve rain event, the forecast looks dry thru the end of next week..but the highest temp in the 7day forecast is 52° next Friday!
