DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A brazen robber is caught on surveillance video snatching the purse of an 80-year-old woman, pushing her to the ground and almost running the victim over while speeding out of the parking lot.  Dallas Police released surveillance video showing the crime in an East Dallas Wal-Mart parking lot.

It happened in broad daylight, on December 20, at about 11:35 in the morning. The video shows the suspect, described by police as a 30 year old woman, attempt to grab the victim’s purse.  When the victim does not let go easily, the suspect uses extreme force to pull the purse away from the elderly suspect and drag her to the ground.  The robber leaves the victim lying in the middle of the parking lot.  The robber drives away in a black, older model Mercedez Benz, narrowly avoiding the victim and the bystander who stopped to help.

Police also released surveillance pictures of the suspect entering and leaving the Walmart, located at 7401 Samuell Blvd.  She is described as 5′ 5″, 130 lbs., wearing a red hoodie blue jeans, plaid shirt and white snow boots.Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS.
