FOG FILLED FRIDAY
The fog has been slow to lift today and more fog will return tonight. Temperatures have been chilly thanks to the cloud cover and the fog. Here’s a look at temperatures as of 3pm Friday.
Fog returns tonight with temperatures ranging from the 50s to 40s.
Foggy and cloudy thru the morning, than mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures will be a little warmer than today, but still cool. South winds will start to pick up during the second half of the day. A few spotty light rain showers and drizzle will be possible on our Saturday.
It will turn warmer on Sunday as south winds increase to 25 mph. Temperatures will warm to near 70 degrees as the warm front lifts north of North Texas. Just like on Saturday there will be a few spotty light rain showers and some drizzle possible on Sunday especially in the morning.
STORM CHANCES NEXT WEEK
There is still a lot of uncertainty as to storm chances for Tuesday. A big upper level disturbance will dive south down the west coast this weekend. But the forecast models differ on where to take this once it reaches California. Some models leave it near California and don’t swing it thru Texas until late next week. Other models bring it thru Texas on Tuesday. If the upper level low does not stall over California we will have some storm chances on Tuesday. If it stalls we will not see any storms on Tuesday.
Yesterday the pollen count was off the charts for Mountain Cedar. It has come back down today thanks to north winds. Yesterday the count was over 3,000 which is the highest count ever recorded for Mountain Cedar in North Texas. Today the Mountain Cedar count was just above 100. That’s still in the high category but much better than yesterday.
