DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) - A problem with the air traffic control computer that uploads flight plans caused flight delays Thursday morning at DFW Airport, government and airline officials said.
The outage prompted a ground stop for flights waiting to take off for DFW Airport from other cities across the country, said FAA spokesman Lynn Lyunsford.
A spokesman for American Airlines said all carriers at DFW Airport were affected by the outage.
An automated FAA notification system indicated flight delays could last from an hour to an hour and 15 minutes.
