FORT WORTH (CBSDFW/AP) - A jury has sentenced a North Texas man to life in prison without parole for repeatedly molesting as many as eight girls.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Gregg Wesley Macintosh’s victims ranged in age from 5 to 12.
A state district court jury convicted the 42-year-old Macintosh on Thursday of continuous sexual assault of children. The jury sentenced him shortly afterward to the maximum penalty allowable.
“After more than a decade of sexually abusing young girls, the jury gave Gregg Macintosh the punishment he deserves,” said Assistant District Attorney Alana Minton. “Nothing other than life without parole was going to stop him.”
Most of the victims testified that Macintosh bribed them with gifts and fun events in an effort to keep them quiet.
The victims were either relatives, friends of relatives, or the children of women the Arlington man dated.
