Here’s a look at what’s going on this weekend for FREE!
Tonight is Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art. The fun begins at 6pm and doesn’t end until midnight. It’s an incredible family night of touring the museum, performances, yoga for kids and even creating headpieces based on works of art in the DMA.
Just around the corner you can celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Crow Collection of Asian Art celebrates, Crow Collection After Dark: Year of The Snake Celebration. It’s a street party with a Kung Fu showcase and luminous dragon dance parade, performances by the Chinese Orchestra, face painting and lanterns all to drive away evil spirits. The celebration runs from 6pm to midnight.
Grand Prairie Warmack Branch Library presents a Multicultural Celebration Saturday from 11 am to 4:30. There will be a martial arts demonstration, an African American heritage celebration featuring drums and dance and a Chinese lion dance.
In Fort Worth at the Sid Richardson Museum see a special exhibition that pairs rarely seen bronze sculptures by Frederic Remington with his paintings to reveal action in a two dimensional versus a three dimensional medium. The museum is open Friday and Saturday from 9am to 8pm and on Sunday from noon to 5pm
How about a free health screening. The Living for Zachary Education Forum is offering free health tests and free medical advice from their board of nationally recognized physicians. Health test are for youths ages 12 to 22. CPR training and healthy cooking demonstrations as well as health booths will be there too.
