NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Here’s a look at what you can do for FREE this weekend. Enjoy!

The 44th annual Cottonwood Arts Festival in Richardson is one of the top festivals in the country where 240 artists exhibit their work. But there’s  much more than just art; live music from local bands performed all weekend long and the kids can create their own masterpieces at the ArtStop Children’s Area.  Admission and parking are free.

Another big celebration this weekend is Cinco De Mayo!

Dallas Cinco De Mayo on Jefferson Blvd. starts tonight at 6 p.m. with a mural unveiling at the north wall of Jerry’s Supermarket.  The big parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday and  festivities run from noon to 8 p.m.

Denton Cinco De Mayo celebration is at Quakertown Park.  The Mexican Cultural Festival starts Sunday with a parade at 10 a.m.

Little Elm will host Arts and Sounds By The Lake on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Enjoy local art vendors, live music and tasty food.

How about a free movie?!  HBO Films and The One Campaign are offering a free screening of “Mary and Martha.”  The film shows the true story of two women whose lives come together in a Mozambique.  They both lost their children to malaria and go on a mission to prevent malaria.  The free screening is Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Modern in Ft Worth.
