HOUSTON (AP) - An attorney for a Texas man accused of stabbing more than a dozen people at a Houston-area college says his client is glad that nobody died in the incident.

Dylan Quick made his first court appearance in Houston on Friday since his arrest immediately following the April 9 attack at Lone Star College that injured 14.

Quick is being held without bond on three counts of aggravated assault.

Authorities accuse Quick of using a razor utility knife to slash his victims on two floors of the college’s health science building.

Investigators allege Quick had fantasized about cannibalism and about cutting off people’s faces and wearing them as masks.

Quick’s attorney, Jules Laird, said Friday his client is taking medication and is still grappling with his role in what happened.
