DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The KRLD Afternoon News has been named the winner of the 2013 National Edward R. Murrow Award for “Best Newscast” for large market radio. The announcement was made today by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).
“This is an amazing honor and a milestone in KRLD’s 87-year history,” said Gavin Spittle, CBS RADIO Dallas-Fort Worth Vice President of News, Talk and Sports Programming. “News Director Paul Mann and the entire staff genuinely deserve this recognition.”
“I couldn’t be prouder of the work the KRLD News Team produces every day,” Mann said, “and I’m thrilled to see that work acknowledged with such a prestigious award. It’s truly humbling.”
The National Edward R. Murrow Awards will be presented at a gala on Oct. 14 in New York City.
