There are around 30 video game production studios in north Texas. Some take advantage of the state’s incentive program. Through the Texas Film Commission in Governor Rick Perry’s office, the state offers to pay back 15% of what a video game company spends on a prject in Texas, if they meet certain spending and hiring requirements.
