Change your mind about that tattoo you loved when you were younger? Or realized it was a mistake right away? Either way, for years tattoo removals have been possible, but painful and time consuming. Now a new procedure being done in North Texas is changing that.
Lauren Bell got her first tattoo five years ago and knew immediately it was a bad decision. “There was no inspiration. I just wanted something so I did it and I’ve regretted ever since.”
Also she had thought about tattoo removal the time and pain made her think she would forever live with a tattoo she didn’t like But now Dallas cosmetic surgery center, Skintastic is offering a new innovative treatment for tattoo removal that’s faster and less painful. Cosmetic surgeon, Dr Jeffrey Adelglass of Skintastic shared how the new laser worked. “It uses photomechanical and photo thermal heat to zap the tattoo, make the particles collide against each other and they explode, come to the surface and remove.” It also removes some of the color ink that used to be impossible to get rid of for good.
CBS 11 was there when Lauren tried the new procedure. In less than two minutes her first session was done. Although it will take two more sessions before the ink is gone, for Lauren the regret begins to fade today.
