A wet start to our work week and the wet weather continues tomorrow and even for some of us into Wednesday.
Rain coverage this evening will start to taper off. But a few spotty showers will still be possible as we go thru the evening.
TONIGHT- Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 60s and low 70s. A few isolated showers will be possible overnight.
STRONG COLD FRONT FOR TUESDAY
Tuesday will start with cloudy skies, some spotty rain and drizzle, but it will end on a cold, wet note.
Temperatures when you drop off the kids at school will be around 70 degrees. But give them the heavier coat for after school.
The strong cold front makes it to DFW between 11am and 1pm. A few stronger storms will be possible along the front. But behind the front is when I anticipate rain coverage and rain intensity to increase. I expect to see a prolonged period of rain that lasts from the afternoon into the evening on Tuesday.
Not only will we have the rain, but it will turn cold by Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures by the afternoon will fall into the 50s!
TONIGHT – A few spotty showers will linger overnight, but much of the night will just be cloudy with temperatures staying around 70 degrees.
TUESDAY 7AM to NOON
Temperatures in the 70s, with a few spotty showers in the morning.
TUESDAY NOON – 9PM
Cold front moves thru DFW between 11am and 1pm. A few stronger storms will be possible with the front. Behind the front temperatures drop into the 50s. Rain will be with heavy at times in the afternoon into the evening.
Temperatures will be in the 50s with more rain likely especially favoring the southern half of North Texas.
More rain will be possible on Wednesday. There may not be a lot here in the metro area, but rain showers will be likely for the southern half of North Texas. Temperatures will stay in the 50s all day Wednesday.
I expect most areas to pick up another 1″ to 2″ of rain with higher amounts possible in our southeastern counties thru Wednesday
