Rain has come to an end across North Texas and the good news is virtually everyone saw at least an inch of rain since Friday.
The heaviest rainfall amounts were south of the DFW area, but we will need a lot more rainy periods like the past few days to climb out of the drought and rainfall deficit.
Skies are clearing late this afternoon and, with light wind tomorrow morning, temperatures should dip in the 40s over a good chunk of North Texas. If we get down to 48° at DFW, that will be the coldest temperature since May 6th!
Thursday will be sunny and beautiful after the chilly start. But the clouds will return quickly on Friday as another cold front pushes through the area. There will be a slight chance of light rain Friday and Friday night. Rainfall amounts are forecast to stay below 1/4″.
Saturday will be nice again….in fact, the entire weekend is looking great, with temperatures a bit below normal for mid October. Next week’s temperatures are mild as well.
