It’s hard to beat the weather today!  Lots of sunshine and mild temperatures, but we did start off chilly.  Coldest morning since May 5th!

We did receive updates on the drought.  It does not include the heavier rains we experienced on Tuesday…thus we’re still in drought.  Even with the rain Tuesday, we’ll still need a lot more rainy days to find ourselves alleviated from the drought.  Lake levels are also still way down, largely unaffected by our recent rain, most of the moisture was just absorbed into the soils and little run-off made it into our reservoirs.

Through October 17, it’s generally been a slightly warmer, slightly drier month, compared to average.

Now the sun we have today will be hidden behind clouds on Friday.  A little bit of mainly light rain will also be in the forecast for Friday and Friday night.  Not expecting anything significant in terms of rainfall, mainly because we don’t have rich moisture to work with as our next cold front pulls through.

After we clear out late Friday night, it should be a fantastic weekend, weatherwise!  Next week is looking good too!
