Windy and Warm for the Weekend in DFW

By Chief Meteorologist Larry Mowry

Hang on to your hats and break out the shorts this weekend.

This will be the warmest weekend we have seen since the middle of October.

I expect high temperatures tomorrow in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Sunday, high temperatures will be in the mid 80s!

Here’s why it is going to get so warm.

TX FutureCast

An area of low pressure will strengthening over the Central Plains which will create strong gusty winds up to 30 mph.  Clouds and an isolated shower will be possible in the morning on Saturday, but by the afternoon sunshine and strong winds will warm us into the upper 70s!

TX FutureCast1

Near Record High on Sunday!  High temperatures will climb into the mid 80s.  The record high for this date is 87 degrees so we will be close to the record high.  It will be windy again, this time winds will be out of the west as a dryline pushes east of Dallas during the day.

TX FutureCast2

A cold front arrives Sunday evening and winds will shift to the north Sunday night.  This will bring in cooler air for Monday.  Highs will only be in the 60s on Monday.  That’s not too bad for November, but compared to the weekend it will feel cooler.
