Near Seasonal Temps This Week Before A Big Weekend Cooldown
Temps this AM started cooler than the weekend but still above the average low of 48 for this time of the year. Plenty of sunshine is on the way today with winds veering from the NE to East later tonight. With abundant sunshine, I expect temperatures to warm into the upper 60s but won’t be surprised to see 70° in some locations across NTX.
The High pressure in charge will shift East then NE during the next few days which will allow our winds to veer to the SE and become breezy by midweek. With the SE low level flow we will have a return of moisture allowing for rain to return to the forecast as soon as late Thursday into Friday.
Then we have the big changes arriving later this week. Expect temps to warm up ahead of a big blast of cold air into the weekend. Rain chances with the frontal passage increase to 50% by Friday and we can’t rule out the possiblity of storms in the forecast. Temps will start in the 70s but drop through the day on Friday so dress in layers and get ready for another cool change.
The weekend is going to be quite a change with overnight lows in the 30s on some forecast models to highs in the 50s Saturday and only the 40s Sunday.
