NTX Tomorrows Highs

With a bit of sun and temps above freezing for a couple hours, we will see a little more melting on Sunday afternoon.  The bad news is that any melted ice will refreeze Sunday night into Monday morning.  Thus, where the roads & parking lots are bad now, they’ll more than likely still be in less-than-stellar shape Monday morning.

There may be a little light rain or light freezing rain from the DFW area south and east on Monday evening into Tuesday morning as another reinforcing shot of cold air arrives.  At this time, it doesn’t look like it would be a lot of rain or cause major issues, but it bears watching.  Otherwise, a slow warm-up is expected through the rest of next week.  Any water will refreeze each night through Wednesday, so lingering icy patches are likely.  Won’t the 50s feel nice next weekend?!?!

Check out the current snow cover map!  55% of the nation has snow or ice cover.  That’s the most coverage this early since at least 2003.  It also bodes a colder-than-normal winter over most of the country.
