We are still in our Thaw, Refreeze, Repeat cycle.  Tonight will be another night where temperatures drop below freezing.  It will be colder tonight than last night.  That will mean icy spots for the tonight and tomorrow morning where water on the roads will refreeze.  The most likely place for this to happen are on the bridges and overpasses where ice chunks are most numerous.

OVERNIGHT LOWS

NTX Overnight Lows Metro Overnight Lows

It could get a little colder than what I have forecasted if drier air can get here faster.  Skies do look to partially clear out tonight.

TOMORROW
Mostly sunny!  Still chilly though, but with the sunshine more will melt.

UP, DOWN, UP DOWN

Here’s a look at the temperature trend for the next few days.  We will finally have an overnight low above freezing Thursday night into Friday morning.

NOT MUCH MELTING

NEXT RAIN CHANCE

There will be a chance of rain starting late Thursday night into Friday.  But temps do look to be above freezing so no wintry mess.  Just some rain.  A disturbance off the west coast will be near Friday and produce the rain chance.  Right now I’m going with a 40% chance of rain.  If you live east of Dallas that rain chance will be higher.  And less to the west.
