Happy Friday! Let me repeat. . Happy Friday! We have made it to the end of the work week and now are headed into a near average weekend. This morning temperatures dipped unto the upper 60s to low 70s across the metroplex with some areas of NTX seeing temps in the mid 60s. We will warm nicely into the mid to upper 80s today with rain chances increasing in the afternoon. This won’t be a washout and some areas of NTX won’t see any rain at all.

The stubborn upper level low pressure that has been meandering around the past five days is still over Arkansas and will make a return appearance to TX today into Saturday. Check out the track below:

So as the Low pressure retrogrades a bit into TX our rain chance increases. It is quite difficult to forecast and Upper Low but the latest is thinking that the Low will move back toward East TX today into tonight. By Saturday the Low will move into the Gulf and dissapate by Sunday. So as the Low gets closer our rain chances increase. If the Low moves further West than forecast then we will see higher rain chances but I am thinking that the higher rain chances will be today and tomorrow only slightly lower for the Metroplex.

Then the end of the weekend has plenty of sunshine and temps back into the 90s. The warm pattern sticks into next week. Temps possibly in the mid 90s by next Wednesday and Thursday.

Have a great weekend,
