Happy Friday. This morning temps didn’t change too much under abundant cloud cover. We started out the 6AM hour with temps in the low to mid 70s.
Today there is a small rain chance in the forecast for later this afternoon across the metroplex and higher chances in the east part of the state.
The RPM model forecast shows scattered showers and a few storms this afternoon mainly east of I-35.
What is interesting is that a few forecast models are picking up on a complex of storms developing later today off the dryline to the west. The models bring those storms closer to the NTX area and the metroplex late tonight into early tomorrow AM.
We will have to wait today to see where and if these storms do develop to determine if they will make it into NTX.
Rain chances drop a bit more on Saturday and Sunday so I expect a pretty nice weekend to develop.
Then we trade the rain chances for sunshine and heat. Take a look at how we warm up into next week. Possibly the 1st 100° day in the forecast later next week.
Have a great weekend.
