This morning DFW got within one degree of equaling a record low for this date. The low was 69°, it’s stayed cool since.  We’ve been under cloudy skies across the Metroplex with a light east wind. Temperatures for the third day in a row have stayed in the 70’s across the afternoon. We’ve had overnight lows this summer warmer than that. At 2pm the sun was breaking out across our western counties and quickly warming to the 80’s:

Another remarkable evening in store for n. Texas given the time of season. Skies will slowly start to clear west to east:

Sunshine and a little bit of a southern wind will quickly return July to us for Sunday. Highs will be in the low 90’s with mostly sunny skies. Humidity will continue to be rather high. This means the heat index tomorrow will get just over 100°.

NTX Tomorrows Highs

After some great rains and record cool temperatures we are getting back to the business of late July. Highs next week will creep toward the triple-digit numbers again. I’ll have the full forecast for you at 6pm on CBS11.
