Dry Weather & Hot Temps Return

Happy Tuesday North Texas. Find the cool treats today and eat them quick because temps are warming up into the upper 90s.

Just before 6AM temps ranged from the upper 60s to the mid 70s across part of the metroplex. Your hour by hour forecast shows temps will be in the low 90s by your lunch hour and warm today to 97°

But if you think today is going to be hot, look at how today’s forecasted high temperature compares to the actual high temperatures of the past 5 years.

Last Five Years

Today will be the “coolest” high temperature since 2009.

There is a small chance of  a few showers in the forecast mainly to the SE today but that is only around 10%.

NTX Rain Chances1

There is another very small chance of an upper disturbance riding on the east edge of an area of high pressure to make it into NTX by Thursday. If this does hold together, then we could see a few showers/storms on Thursday buy my confidence of this happening isn’t very high.

Then after Thursday the same area of high pressure expands and we get hot into the weekend.
