AUSTIN (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — A funeral will be held next week for a Texas sheriff’s deputy who was fatally shot after reporting prowlers in his backyard.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office says services are planned in Austin for Sgt. Craig Hutchinson.

Hutchinson was shot and killed Monday after returning to his Round Rock home, following his shift. He had used his police radio to report that there were people in his backyard. Officers arrived moments later and discovered his body. No one has been arrested.

Up to $30,000 in rewards have been offered for information leading to arrests in the case.

Visitation for Hutchinson will be Monday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin.

Hutchinson’s funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shoreline Church in Austin. A graveside service, with police honors, will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Austin.
