AUSTIN (AP) – The alleged “I-35 serial rock thrower”  has been convicted of sexual abuse.

On Thursday, an Austin jury convicted Patrick Eugene Johnson of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, after molesting a boy on several occasions since 2012.

In addition to the sexual assault, the 60-year-old Johnson still faces multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested in June after throwing rocks at vehicles, which began in 2014.

According to AP, prior to Johnson’s arrest, he injured three motorists with rocks–one person suffered brain damage.

Travis County jurors will determine punishment for Johnson, who is currently facing up to life in prison for sexual abuse.
