Many people change careers, but for one North Texas man his new career path went straight to the dogs.
Entrepreneur Chris Watts has always loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian, he only had one problem with that plan.
“I couldn’t euthanize an animal even if it was the right thing to do, so I went into corporate America and banking” said Owner of The Petropolitan Chris Watts.
After the events of September 11th, 2001 Chris reevaluated his career path and decided his heart was still with animals.
Watts opened The Petropolitan animal care location in Dallas, followed last year by an Oak Cliff location. They are truly a one stop pet care facility for “The Urban Animal” as their website declares.
“We do everything from grooming, daycare, boarding, training, everything but vet care” Watts added.
He sits on the Dallas Animal Advisory Committee and is very active with helping folks in the community learn about animal care and education.
