FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – The search continued on Thursday for a missing Fort Worth woman police believe was kidnapped by a former boyfriend.
Investigators spent most of the evening searching Sandy Lane Park in East Fort Worth, an area that pushes up against the backyard of the suspect’s home.
Detectives believe Chris Revill is responsible for Typhenie Johnson’s disappearance.
“It’s been a nightmare,” said Marion Revill, the suspect’s mother.
Police said they found evidence in Marion Revill’s backyard that links her son to the alleged crime. Detectives said they found a ladies shirt, a smart watch with a broken clasp, a man’s tank top and a bra that looked like it had been pulled apart.
“That’s not the kid that I know. What I looked at today was a totally different person,” said Revill, who visited her son in jail on Thursday. “He said, ‘Mom, do you really believe I did that?’ I said, ‘Chris, talk to me!’ ”
Revill said her son mostly sat silent, with a blank stare.
“Tell me your side. Tell me what you want to tell me,” said Revill. “He looked at me, he hung up the phone, banged on the door and walked right out.”
Investigators suspect foul play and said Johnson vanished under “suspicious circumstances” and believe it was at the hands of Chris Revill.
The suspect’s mother said her son and Johnson just split up and he moved back home as a result.
While she’s cooperating with police, her focus right now is on Johnson’s family.
“My heart goes out to you, my heart is broken,” said Revill. “If this was my child, I couldn’t even tell you. What I would do. I would scream to all the world.”
Chris Revill remains in a Mansfield jail on suspicion of kidnapping.
