Cool Move By Fort Worth Officers

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Fort Worth Police officers on a call Thursday came across a 95-year-old man whose air conditioner wasn’t working.

Well, that didn’t work for them!

The officers went to Home Depot and bought Julius Hatley a brand new unit.

The gesture struck a chord with the store’s managers and employees, prompting them to put $150 of their own money towards the purchase.

Haltey said he really appreciated it.

  1. It just to go there are still good people in this world, no matter what their jobs. Just hope he will turn it on.

  2. Now they need to pay his electric bill. Many of our elderly can’t afford the utility bills, nor the medical, nor the prescription, on a fixed income. I wish this would be on President Trumps higher priority list to bring the prices down, but it’s clearly not.

    1. Paul King says:

Or we could cancel all the freebies the illegal immigrants and non-working sloths with Obamaphones and help those on fixed incomes.

  3. While I applaud the officers and the Home Depot workers and everyone who pitched in to help this WWII Veteran, why are our Veterans not getting adequate housing in the first place? Someone who served our country should not be dying from the heat which is what could have happened very easily, and most likely has and just not reported.
