kevin durant warriors 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Kevin Durant Forward Golden State Warriors Golden State Warriors Durant waited out a good portion of the free agency period before resigning to get a sense of what the Warriors could afford and who they could sign. After securing deals for Steph Curry who had previously been on a very cheap contract, Durant saw Steph get the NBA's largest contract. After, he watched the sixth fifth member of the Warriors' core get paid to stay in Andre Iguodala. While the Warriors may not be done in free agency, they sure aren't making any more major splashes and Durant took a pay cut of nearly $10 million to stay with the franchise. In total, his contract will pay out $53 million over the next two years as opposed to the $72 million he was eligible for. Durant does have a player option next offseason and will likely play this salary cap game again. KD averaged 25.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and almost 5 assists per game during his first season with the Warriors. 1

stephen curry warriors 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Stephen Curry Guard Golden State Warriors Golden State Warriors Curry is another free agent who will probably be a Warrior for a very long time. This season, he averaged 25.3 points and 6.6 assists per game and helped lead Golden State to another NBA championship title. He signed on the dotted line for the largest contract in NBA history. Curry will be paid out $201 million over the next five years. 2

gordon hayward jazz 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Gordon Hayward Forward Utah Jazz Boston Celtics Hayward is at his prime in his career at 27 years old and was a well sought-after free agent before ultimately deciding to sign with the Boston Celtics. Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey had stated that “every fiber of our collective soul as the Utah Jazz want him back." Despite these pleas, Hayward chose to leave Utah and officially sign with the Boston Celtics on July 4th following the footsteps of Kevin Durant leaving his small market team just one year before. We will get to see a team that can vie for the Eastern Conference's top spot in the playoffs. Hayward is a small forward who averaged 21.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game with the Utah Jazz. 3

chris paul clippers 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Chris Paul Guard Los Angeles Clippers Houston Rockets 32-year-old Chris Paul is beginning to age, although his stats don’t show it. Paul will be joining his third NBA team after the LA Clippers reportedly agreed to terms with the Rockets, trading Paul, who will opt into the last year of his contract, for Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams and other players, including their 2018 first-round pick. Chris Paul will join fellow all-star James Harden in Houston. With the Clippers, Paul averaged 18.1 points, 9.2 assists and 4 rebounds per game. 4

kyle lowry raptors 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Kyle Lowry Guard Toronto Raptors Toronto Raptors Lowry is a top point guard who, at 31 years old, is slowly moving towards the end of his career. Unlike Chris Paul, however, Lowry’s health is not a top concern. Lowry was on the wish list of many teams but his stock dried out a bit as some players took economical deals like Jeff Teague and teams spent big money elsewhere. It was very important for Lowry to get $30+ million a year and Toronto was able to offer that over three years to bring his total contract to $100 million. In the significantly weakened Eastern Conference, the Raptors really are only a few wins away from making a showing in the Finals. The question is now whether they have improved as a team or not. This past season with the Raptors, Lowry averaged 22.4 points, 7 assists and 4.8 rebounds. 5

blake griffin clippers 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Blake Griffin Forward Los Angeles Clippers Los Angeles Clippers While his career with the Clippers has been successful, many rumors were floating around that suggest Griffin was looking to leave Los Angeles for a fresh start with the Celtics, Oklahoma City, or Miami. The Clippers turned Griffin into their top priority by locking him down for the next five years with a massive $175 million contract. While the Clippers have already lost Chris Paul and JJ Redick, they will value Blake's talent to pair with Deandre Jordan. Griffin reportedly has a toe injury that could keep him out until December. 6

paul millsap hawks 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Paul Millsap Forward Atlanta Hawks Denver Nuggets With the Hawks, Millsap averaged 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 assists per game. With these stats, as a healthy 32-year-old, Millsap was reportedly looking to ink one more longterm deal with a team other than Atlanta. The versatile forward met with the Denver Nuggets, the new-look Minnesota Timberwolves, the Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns. The Suns were a late entry after striking out on Blake Griffin and the Wolves took themselves out of the running after signing Taj Gibson on Sunday. The Nuggets signed Millsap to a three-year, $90 million contract late Sunday night and will now pair him with surprise sensation, Nikola Jokic, in the front court. The two will likely be the best passing duo in the league and can both play some inside-outside game. Putting him in a lineup that also has bright spots like Jamal Murray instantly creates a bright future in Denver. The city of Denver wanted Millsap so badly that they were willing to go out and bring in Denver Broncos' to the meeting. 7

The Pelicans are looking to give this big three a full season after the midseason acquisition of DeMarcus Cousins. Holiday officially signed a deal worth $126 million guaranteed that can pay out up to $150 million over the next five years. When Holiday, Anthony Davis and Cousins played together, they gave an analytic measure of a 3rd seed and will look to solidify themselves this season. 8

otto porter wizards 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Otto Porter Forward Washington Wizards Washington Wizards On July 4th, the Nets offered a 4-year, $106 million contract to Porter, which he agreed to. Being a restricted free agent however, the Wizards had 48 hours to match this maximum offer after Porter signed, and the Wizards had said for months that they would indeed match if this situation occurred. As of Saturday, Porter will officially be staying in Washington. Last season he averaged 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds and also helped the Wizards advance to the second round of playoffs. 9

serge ibaka raptors 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Serge Ibaka Forward Toronto Raptors Toronto Raptors Ibaka is a solid perimeter shooter and strong defenseman who averaged 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Ibaka was a midseason acquisition for the Raptors and there was always the chance he would turn out to be nothing more than a rental but the Raptors' playoff positioning and strong core were a big reason he chose to sign back with them. Ibaka stands to make $65 million over the next three years in Toronto though his contract combined with Lowry's will make them take an extra look at contracts that can be cut to avoid the luxury tax. 10

danila gallinari nuggets 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Danilo Gallinari Forward Denver Nuggets Los Angeles Clippers Gallinari may have been one of the biggest wildcards of this year’s free agents. Gallinari recently stated that “Nuggets are not my first choice but they are exactly at the same level of the other teams.” After meeting with several teams, Gallinari is officially on his way to join the Los Angeles Clippers and create a front court with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. The deal cannot be completed as a straight signing because of the proposed contract but the Clippers have facilitated a three-way trade to make it happen. As a result, the Clippers are supposedly sending Jamal Crawford, who intends to reach a buy out with Atlanta, and a first round pick to clear up cap space. Gallo is much more versatile than most fans think as he can genuinely play 3-4 positions in the NBA. He can score and has great playmaking ability. He's the three the Clippers have been looking for for years but it's a season or two too late for their title window. With the Nuggets, he averaged 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds. 11

george hill jazz 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker George Hill Guard Utah Jazz Sacramento Kings It's probably been a wild start to free agency for Hill's camp as his team traded for Ricky Rubio, and one of his suitors, the Minnesota Timberwolves, acquired fellow point guard Jeff Teague. There was initially interest for a return to San Antonio but that died as soon as Patty Mills resigned and Tony Parker was given a vote of confidence. Other teams involved included the Lakers who were looking to pair their rookie point guard Lonzo Ball with Hill, and the New York Knicks were interested in turning him into their point guard while also mentoring Frank Ntilikina. The Sacramento Kings came in as a surprise to most and gave Hill a $57 million contract over three years. Hill will stand to be De'Aaron Fox's mentor and help ease the transition. The Kings also lost Darren Collison to the Indiana Pacers and could use the depth. George Hill is a reliable offensive player who averaged 16.9 points, 4.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game with the Utah Jazz. 12

jeff teague pacers 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Jeff Teague Guard Indiana Pacers Minnesota Timberwolves Jeff Teague is making the move to Minnesota after signing a four-year, $57 million contract on the first day of NBA free agency with the Wolves. The Minnesota Timberwolves made a big move by shipping away Ricky Rubio and Kris Dunn this offseason. By bringing in Jimmy Butler, the team has shown a desire to go big in free agency and create a team that can compete in the playoffs next season. Teague's deal is a solid contract considering some of the much more expensive deals being signed. Point Guard Teague averaged 15.3 points, 7.8 assists and 4 rebounds this season with the Pacers. 14

greg monroe buck 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Greg Monroe Center Milwaukee Bucks Milwaukee Bucks Monroe is a traditional center and great defenseman who had an incredible season with the Bucks, averaging 11.7 points and 6.6 rebounds. Monroe will likely return to the Bucks, who will offer him the same $17 million salary he earned this past season. That is, unless another team is in the market for a center and is able to match that offer as well. There have been rumors that the Bucks are looking into trading Monroe to clear up both cap space and create a more natural fit with some of the bigs they have on roster. 15

andre iguodala warriors 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Andre Iguodala Guard Golden State Warriors Golden State Warriors Iguodala is in a great position. He makes an impact on the Warriors all-star squad, averaging 7.6 points and 4 rebounds per game. Well, the Warriors are going to be paying a lot of tax money over the next four seasons. Over each of the next four seasons, their committed salary total climbs all the way from $138.6 million to $177.9 million. In the same respects, the luxury tax hikes from $42.8 million in 2017-2018 to an incredible $222.7 million by the end of the 2021 season. It may seem irrelevant to include this statistic in Iggy's section but that should show you how important the franchise believed Iggy was to their success. At under 10 points a game and 5 boards a game, Iggy was getting huge money from the Houston Rockets. Warriors' GM Bob Myers said he wasn't leaving without a signed contract and wound up offering up $48 million to Iguodala to stay in the Bay even with the known tax amount. They'll pay to win. 16

jj reddick clippers 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker JJ Redick Guard Los Angeles Clippers Philadelphia 76ers Word got out on Saturday that JJ Redick has agreed to a one year, $23 million contract to join the 76ers. It's apparent he trusts the process and is taking a "prove it" type of contract where he projects to slot in as the starting two-guard for the young Sixers. Redick said following the news that "it's where I want to be." The 76ers are loaded with talent acquiring the top overall pick in the draft, Markelle Fultz, to go with fellow number one pick Ben Simmons who will handle a bulk of the ball handling responsibilities given his elite playmaking. Joel Embiid was the story of 2016-2017 for the Sixers coming on strong and should give plenty of optimism to a team that will now compete for a playoff spot in the depleted Eastern Conference. Redick can put up similar numbers as he did in in Los Angeles but have a more necessary role with his 43% from three. Redick is a solid shooting guard who averaged 15 points and 2.2 rebounds with the Clippers. 18

dion waiters heat 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Dion Waiters Guard Miami Heat Miami Heat Waiters had his best season yet with the Heat, before spraining his ankle towards the end. He averaged 15.8 points, 4.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds and surely would have led the Heat to the playoffs had he been healthy. Waiters officially re-signed with the Heat for four years after they struck out on Gordon Hayward. His new 4-year, $52 million deal is just a small step up from last year's one-year, $2.9 million contract. Waiters has a chance to really become a staple in the Miami scoring load next season and beyond. 20

andre roberson thunder 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Andre Roberson Forward Oklahoma City Thunder Oklahoma City Thunder Roberson is an amazing defender who averaged 6.6 points and 5.1 rebounds with the Thunder. He may not be the best shooter, but his defensive skills have made him a sought-after free agent. Due to the Paul George trade, Oklahoma City will have $4 million extra. Roberson officially re-signed in Oklahoma City for $30 million over the next three years. He can easily slot with Paul George on the wing to make a terrific defensive lineup. 22

kelly olynyk celtics 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Kelly Olynyk Center Boston Celtics Miami Heat Olynyk had a breakthrough performance in Game 7 of the Eastern conference semi-finals. The Celtics were in a tough place with Olynyk after their free agent acquisition of Gordon Hayward. Hayward ate up much of the available cap room and forced the Celtics to let players like Olynyk as well as others on the roster to walk or find trades. After several days of free agency, the Miami Heat finally made an offer and struck a 4-year $50 million plus deal with Olynyk. This season, the 7-foot center averaged 9 points and 4.8 rebounds with the Celtics. 23

mason plumlee nuggets 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Mason Plumlee Center Denver Nuggets Denver Nuggets Plumlee is a solid center who averaged 10.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 blocks after being traded halfway through the season. At 6-foot-11, he is one of the most attractive free agent centers available. As a restricted free agent, the Nuggets can still retain Plumlee if they want to give him a second chance to prove himself in Denver. They went out and signed Paul Millsap but still have enough money left over to keep Plumlee. The question is now whether they believe he's worth it or if they choose to use that money elsewhere. 24

dirk nowitzki mavericks 100 NBA Free Agency Tracker Dirk Nowitzki Forward Dallas Mavericks Dallas Mavericks Legendary Dirk is showing his age, but he isn’t going anywhere. He averaged 14.2 points and 6.5 rebounds this season with the Mavs. The team declined to pick up his option for the coming season, but only to restructure his contract. Despite his free-agent status, expect to see Dirk return to Dallas to (possibly) end his career. Dirk and the Mavs have finalized a 2-year, $10 million deal, which will leave Dallas with substantial cap space. 25
