Jane grew up in Rowlett and has been a Dallas-Fort Worth sports junkie for as long as she can remember. Prior to becoming sports anchor/reporter for CBS 11 and TXA 21, Jane co-hosted a sportstalk program, “Elf and Slater” with Mark Elfenbein on CBS RADIO’s 105.3 The FAN. During her time at The FAN, she traveled to the Super Bowl, Cowboys training camp, on Rangers road trips and to the Mayweather/Guerrero bout in Vegas.
This is Jane’s second stint with CBS 11 and TXA 21, as she previously served as a freelance reporter and anchor for the stations. She’s also worked as a traffic anchor at WFAA. Jane received dual degrees in broadcast Journalism and government from the University of Texas in Austin. After college, she was both a producer/reporter at KYTX in Tyler, Texas and a news reporter at KMGH in Denver. While she enjoys covering news, sports is her true passion, and she’s thrilled to be doing what she loves right here in North Texas.
For Jane, her job isn’t about punching the clock and collecting a paycheck, it’s the daily realization of a dream for a girl who never gave up. And she recognizes that she wouldn’t be doing it if not for the support of those who encouraged her to realize her professional ambitions. It’s for that reason that she feels compelled to mentor young aspiring journalists.
Feel free to send her an email or tweet her.
