Vnessa Shaw Burgos 9.30.1976
A domestic incident is believed to have led to the fatal shooting of an Arlington man by his wife overnight. The Arlington Police Department responded to a medical call at about 2 a.m. in the 7200 block of Lake Whitney Drive on Friday, March 8, 2013. Officers and paramedics arrived to find a man in his 40s deceased inside the home with multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives have learned that the man’s wife and his teenage stepdaughter were both home at the time of the incident. They called family members, who in turn called 911 to report the incident. After investigators talked to the witnesses, other family members who came to the house after the shooting, and compared their stories with the crime scene, the victim’s wife was arrested. Vnessa Burgos, 36, was transported to the Arlington City Jail and is facing a charge of murder. Arrest and booking photos are provided by local law enforcement officials. Arrest does not imply guilt and criminal charges are merely accusations. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted in a court of law.
