In the wake of a controversial high school football game, signs of school spirit and coach support are cropping up in the city of Aledo.
A school district investigation into Aledo High School’s football coaches has cleared them of wrongdoing, after a complaint of bullying following Friday night’s game against Fort Worth’s Western Hills.
A North Texas high school football coach whose undefeated team won its last game 91-0 said Wednesday a district investigation found “no grounds” to support a bullying complaint filed by a parent of the losing team.
There was little chance of defeat, when Aledo’s undefeated Bearcats faced Fort Worth’s Western Hills on the football field Friday. The final score, 91 to 0, though, led one parent to file an official complaint of bullying against the entire coaching staff.
