Don’t Ask Don’t Tell
Darren Manzella, a gay combat medic discharged from the Army after criticizing the military’s ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy in a 2007 television interview, has died in a traffic accident. He was 36.
With a stroke of the pen, President Barack Obama erased 17 years of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in the military. The President did not erase, however, the day when Michael Moore of Dallas was forced to leave the military.
President Obama has officially signed the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” law, which is great news for one young marine from Texas.
