Victims Of West Plant Explosion Remembered In Waco

It started with a procession that included dozens of fire trucks and cars and pickups filled with men and women in uniform. The memorial service for those killed in the West Fertilizer Company explosion was held at the Ferrell Center on the Baylor University campus.

Fathers, Firefighters: Lives Lost In West, Texas

On April 17, an explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas, leveled part of the small town. Most of the victims were first responders from fire departments in West and other nearby towns that were on the scene trying to control the fire that preceded the blast.
