When Kurt Busch gets in the car for Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide race in Texas, it will be his debut driving for younger brother Kyle’s new stock car team.
The two brothers will share the No. 54 Toyota this year in the Nationwide Series. Kyle Busch signed Monster Energy to sponsor the car for the entire 33-race season.
NASCAR is making gains toward breaking up the two-car tandem racing that’s taken over at Daytona and Talladega.
Kurt Busch and Penske Racing have parted ways after yet another embarrassing incident for the 2004 NASCAR champion.
“This has been an incredible Speedweeks, and I just don’t want it to end,” Busch said after winning his first qualifying event at Daytona. “I want to make sure we keep doing everything right.”
