North Texas Teen Making A Mark In Dirt Track Racing

Last weekend, on the Texas Motor Speedway .4 Mile dirt track, a North Texas teen started his first year in the SUP-A late model division. It was a weekend of firsts for the young driver, in a career almost defined by them.

Trout & Harper Named Top MLB Rookies

The Los Angeles Angels’ center fielder Trout and Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper were named the Jackie Robinson Award winners as the top rookies in the American and National League, respectively, as voted on by members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.

Kyrie Irving Wins 2011-2012 NBA Rookie Of The Year Award

Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers was named the 2012 Rookie of the Year, beating out another point guard Ricky Rubio of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The ascent has been rapid for the 19-year-old former New Jersey high school player from St. Patrick’s who last year, due to an injury, played just 11 games as a freshman at Duke.
