The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s building is an incredible art structure housing contemporary works of art within 40-foot-high transparent walls of glass framed by steel. The walls are bathed in an even glow of light. Inside are many works of art created with glass. In the Declaring Space: Mark Rothko, Barnett Newman, Lucio Fontana and Yves Klein exhibits showcase paintings embedded with broken glass. On the museum’s second floor, Bell’s “Continued Relevance” is a cube of tinted glass supported by a clear pedestal. In Michelangelo Pistoletto’s “The Etruscan,” the sculpture reaches toward the future represented by a mirror and its reflections. This museum will inspire imaginations and reveal the many powerful works of art created from glass.
