Dallas based Texas Instruments is bucking the trend by bringing a foreign facility to North Texas. The new Richardson plant iss scheduled to open by the end of the year.
Chief financial officer Kevin March says instead of moving the plant out of the country like many companies are doing they are bringing a plant from Japan here.
He says they have purchased two factories in Japan and will continue to run one of them there. He says the new equipment will require people to run it meaning over 100 new jobs by the end of the year.
