DALLAS (1080 KRLD) – KRLD’s 32nd Annual “Christmas is for Caring” continues December 16th and 17th, and we want you to bring holiday cheer to the residents of the Denton State Supported Living Center (formerly the Denton State School).
About Christmas is for Caring 2010:
CIFC benefits the residents of the Denton State Supported Living Center. These are adults with developmental disabilities. In many cases they are profoundly affected by their disabilities, meaning they cannot function without a great deal of assistance and are not able to walk or talk.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to purchase at least two gifts for each resident of the school. KRLD also will be collecting monetary donations used to complete a specific improvement project at the school. This year’s major projects will be helping purchase medical equipment to help better serve the residents, including examination machines and x-ray equipment.
