GRAHAM (CBSDFW.COM) – A 28-year-old North Texas man is in jail and accused of killing his two young children.

Police in Graham, population 8,500, say Gabriel Armendariz murdered his 6-month-old and 2-month-old sons Wednesday.

Graham is about 90 miles west of Fort Worth.

The Young County Sheriff’s Office says Armendariz called them Wednesday and told dispatchers he had killed the boys.  But he wouldn’t tell them where they were.

Deputies and police officers talked to his family members, then went to their house in Graham to investigate.

After a ten-hour search, they found the bodies of both children and arrested Armendariz.

Police have not said how the boys died.

Neighbors say they did not know Armendariz well, but they say he was in the midst of a custody dispute with his ex-wife, who lives near Lubbock.

Armendariz is charged with capital murder.  He previously spent about two years in prison for a drug charge.
