DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) – The Dallas Cowboys beat the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in a 44-7 rout at Cowboys Stadium. It was the biggest offensive output the Cowboys have had since they put up 45 against the New York Giants in 2007.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones joined me on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Tuesday morning to praise what many have been dubbing for his team as a “perfect” win.READ MORE: Granbury High School Student Struck By Vehicle After School
Against Buffalo, Dallas scored a touchdown on each of their first four drives converted 8-of-12 on third down opportunities, nabbed three interceptions and racked up 433 yards of offense on the day.
So the question had to be posed, “Jerry, was that a perfect win?”
“Well, I told our coaching staff that is the way we need to start all the games,” he said. “You can usually get the right taste in your mouth. That’s the way to start it off [early part of the game].”
Quarterback Tony Romo had an impressive game of his own–one that saw him with 13 consecutive completions, completing 23-of-26 passes, throwing for 270 yard and three touchdown passes.READ MORE: Mother's Boyfriend Charged With Capital Murder Of 2 Teenaged Brothers In North Richland Hills
Jones immediately chimed in on Romo, a player who Jones has shown unwavering support for, despite many critics questioning his endorsement of the quarterback.
“It was Romo’s best game,” Jones adamantly said. “It was so much about how well Tony Romo was playing the position and the decisions he was making and his accuracy. I think we benefited from his health.”
Romo, who suffered a fractured rib against San Francisco nearly two months ago, has recently stopped taking the pain injections and wearing the protective vest that was limiting his full capabilities.
