LAS COLINAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Canadian 27-year old Frank Dancevic, the 175th ranked player in the world, capped a week full of upsets at the Dallas Tennis Classic in Irving with a 7-6, 7-6 win over top seeded Marin Cilic Friday evening to advance to Saturday’s semifinals of the ATP Challenger Tour event.

In knocking off the world’s 24th ranked player, Dancevic advanced to play 33-year old German Tommy Haas in Saturday’s second semifinal match at the Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas.

Haas, a four-time Grand Slam semifinalist, beat Gilles Muller 6-4, 6-4 as his good friend from his home country, Dallas Maverick Dirk Nowitzki, looked on from the VIP suite on Championship Court.

Saturday’s semifinal matches will be televised live at 11:00 a.m. on TXA 21.  German Bjorn Pfau will play Russian Igor Andreev in the opening match.

TXA 21 will also televise Sunday’s singles and doubles championship matches starting at 1:00 p.m.
