The high today at DFW was 106 degrees!  This is the hottest it has been this soon in the summer in 32 years.  The last time we got this hot this fast was in the summer of 1980.  Last year the first time we made it to 106 was on July 25th.

We did not break a record at DFW today as the record high for this date is 113 degrees set in 1980.  113 degrees is also the hottest temperature ever recorded at DFW.

Many other locations across the state of Texas did break records for this date.  Here’s a list of the high temperatures that set new records in this Texas cities.
