HAZMAT and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport’s bomb squad were called to the Town Creek Apartments on 190 N. Moore St. for support.

The bomb squad’s robot bravely maneuvered close to the object, allowing crews to see what it really was: A mosquito trapping device to help the city keep an eye on any West Nile-carrying pests.

Residents in the three evacuated buildings were allowed to return and the emergency crews returned to normal duty.
